Immigration Updates – Russian Citizens

What kind of impact do the current events have on citizens in Russia?

Last May 2021, the US embassy in Moscow, Russia closed due to political reasons. The government of Russia made the United States cease operations at that US embassy. The visas and the review of files and cases were transferred to Warsaw, Poland. The spouse visas and fiance visas are being processed in that embassy.

We have some clients who happen to be citizens of multiple countries and so, they’re able to move their case to other embassies where they might have a work permit or lawful permanent resident or citizen status.

Currently, that’s still the state of spouse visas and fiance visas are being handled in that manner. There have been no other announcements.
