What happens next when you receive your National Visa Center case number? It will depend on what type of case you have. If you have an I-130 petition that’s been approved and the National Visa Center sends you your case number and notice, there’ll be details on the notice so you can begin the online application process through CEAC to submit your documents and to complete your online form.
For fiancé visas, the National Visa Center is not sending the notifications after the I-129F fiancé visa petition has been approved. They aren’t sending notifications right away anymore because the embassies and consulates are not scheduling interviews on a regular normal basis.
You won’t receive that until the embassies and consulates have let the National Visa Center know that they have interviews available. However, you can reach out to the National Visa Center and obtain the case number for the I-129F fiancé visa petition after that approval comes through.
If you receive your NVC case number that doesn’t necessarily mean that you can start taking the next steps in your fiancé visa process. It’s great to have your case number but you still have to wait for the National Visa Center to notify you that you’re able to begin the steps needed for your fiancé visa interview to be scheduled.
