What Is a Spouse Visa?
A Spouse Visa allows the foreign-born husband or wife of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to immigrate to the United States and receive a green card. If your spouse is currently living outside of the U.S., this process takes place through a U.S. embassy or consulate in your spouse’s home country.

Overview of the Spouse Visa Process
Step 1: Petition Filing

When your case is sent to the U.S. embassy or consulate in your spouse’s home country, we get you both ready. We provide a detailed interview packet and prepare you for common questions, how to present your relationship story confidently, and what to expect based on your specific embassy’s procedures.
Step 4: Entry to the U.S. & Green Card Issuance
Once approved, your spouse receives an immigrant visa in their passport. After entering the U.S., your spouse receives their green card in the mail and officially becomes a permanent resident!
